Sydney………home away from home

One of my friends is going to Sydney for a vacation. He asked me about the places for sight seeing. That triggered my memories/thoughts about this place, where I spent almost one year of my life. I used to live in one of the Sydney suburbs called as ‘Glenfield’. This place is less crowded and with lots of trees.

GlenField/BanksTown/CampbelTown:
I will start with the same place. This place is actually on the motorway from Sydney to Canberra. Road connectivity and Rail connectivity is awesome. Lots of trains moving from Bankstown to Sydney central via Glenfield. You can also catch a train to central via Airport. If you move down towards Canberra from Glenfield, you will reach to Bankstown. This suburb has a sports club. This is the place of Mr. Steve Waugh. He used to play for that club earlier. This sports club is really huge one, with lots of big screens, casinos, lounges etc. You can also check nearby Campbeltown suburb.

Bondi Beach: Amazing beach. Most preferred beach by sydneykars. Don’t forget to carry your sun screen lotion along with you. You can catch a bus from Central/ Circular Quay area for the same.

Blue Mountains: My favorite place. This is basically a hill station. Don’t forget to carry your winter clothes because you might experience an unexpected snowfall and literally chilling wind. You can catch a train from Sydney central for the same. You can complete this journey in one day and come back Sydney townhall in the evening and roam around all over the night if you want. ;)

Botanical Garden: Amazing view of Sydney CBD and lots of plants species. Good place to keep your mind cool and focused. I had taken lot of decisions sitting in this garden. ;) Amazing tracks for walking and jogging as well.

Darling Harbor: One more excellent view of sky scrappers behind the harbor.

King Cross: It is not necessary to visit this place but if you are bachelor and want to roam all over the night, and then you can go to this place. Make sure that you are accompanied by good friends. ;)

Opera House and Harbor Bridge: I was stunned to see some of the fantastic views besides the opera bridge. My favorite place to hang out with friends. Make sure that you take a long walk on the harbor bridge and if your wallet is heavy then you can also climb on the harbor bridge. ;)

This list can go on and on......due to time constraint, I have added top 5-6 places. I will try to add more to this list later on.

Cheers,
Amol
